ROAD CONDITIONS

Paved and Unpaved Roads into the camp The road leading to the Camp and the Marvin Pass Trailhead parking lot are maintained by the National Forest Service.

The first 10.3 miles off of highway 180 are paved, and the last 2.5 miles of the road to the Marvin Pass trailhead parking lot (for the one mile access hike) are unpaved. Most autos will be fine on this road, a sport utility vehicle is not necessary. However, we encourage cautious driving on the access road.

You may encounter wildlife and/or other vehicles sharing a road that is extremely narrow in some spots.
